Project Manager/estimator

Our client in the Seattle, WA area is currently hiring for a Project Manager/Estimator. This is a permanent position supporting commercial construction projects with a strong focus on sales, client relationships, and high-level project visibility. This individual will work closely with estimating and project management teams while building and maintaining a robust book of business.Pay - $80,000 - $90,000 (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, relevant job titles, etc.)Location - Seattle, WA (Field-based with travel to commercial jobsites and client offices throughout the Seattle area)Schedule - Standard Monday - Friday(Responsibilities) Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, and clients Actively pursue new and existing commercial opportunities Manage and grow a pipeline of current and future projects Follow up on leads, bids, and estimates already priced or submitted Conduct regular client and jobsite visits to uncover opportunities Represent the company professionally within the market Maintain project visibility after award to ensure smooth communication and client satisfaction Review drawings and plans to support estimating and client discussions Collaborate with internal estimating, project management, and operations teams for seamless handoffs Track project status, timelines, and follow-through Participate in daily sales meetings and maintain accurate documentation using company systems Utilize Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite; collaborate closely with the estimating team (Preferred but not required): familiarity with On-Screen, Quick Bid, or BuzzBid (Qualification Requirements) 2+ years working at a construction subcontractor as a Project Manager, Estimator, or Service/Sales Manager High level of computer proficiency (MS Office, Smartsheet) Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships Understanding of the construction industry and experience with project tracking Sales-oriented mindset with strong follow-through Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Comfortable working independently in a self-directed role Ability to meet driving requirements (MVR standard) Degree not required (Disqualifiers) Inconsistent or job-hoppy work history No construction industry experience Lack of experience in project tracking or plan interpretation Low computer proficiency No experience working within a subcontractor environment (Employee Value Proposition) Relationship-driven commercial subcontractor with a strong market presence Dedicated sales-focused role with the opportunity to build and grow a personal book of business Collaborative environment working closely with estimating and project management teams Commission-based structure-earnings tied to revenue generated from projects Benefits include: health coverage, company-provided tools and systems, mileage reimbursement, and additional company perks Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Kirkland, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.401k, company vehicle, etc.Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Kirkland,WA.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Mar 17, 2026.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
