Restaurant Assistant Manager Salary Range: $45,000 - $52,000 per year (DOE) This role is crucial in not only supporting the General Manager, but also supporting the daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high standards of hospitality. So, every guest receives the warmest and most memorable experience through managing the people that make it happen. The ideal candidate will have a background in full service restaurants, with a strong focus on team management and training development. Assist in the process to hire, train and develop, schedule, and evaluate hourly team members, enhancing their skills in hospitality management and service delivery. Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to foster a safe, professional, engaging and positive work environment. Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Implement food safety protocols to maintain health standards and ensure guest safety. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering product to ensure proper quantities of product to service guests orders. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Are the go-to resource for all hourly team members; they go out of their way to address the individual needs and concerns of our team members every day! Provide clear benchmarks and expectations to hourly team members so that each shift runs smoothly. Oversee and ensure all hourly team members' performance is meeting company expectations through constant follow-up and communication. Respond to immediate store needs Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and a memorable experience. Execute all operations policies, procedures, and programs and ensure they are followed by others to keep Sonny's a great place to work! Report information to General Manager through plans of action, AOR's, goals, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have the flexibility to work a 45-50-hour workweek, with the understanding that during peak seasons or business needs, additional hours may be required. Qualifications Previous experience in a supervisory role within a full-service restaurant. Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices. Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. Attend and successfully complete any ongoing training or certification programs required by the company, federally, or by the state as it relates to this position. Proficient in using computers to include use of the Microsoft Office programs. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Managers regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Managers are regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time, handle products, tools, equipment, paperwork, and communicate effectively with guests, other managers, and team members. Managers regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; push, pull, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or bend; taste or smell; and talk or hear, and inhaling smoke from a wood-burning cooker, and ability to push, pull and lift. This is a fast-paced environment and requires constant human interaction and movement. Managers regularly work with or near moving mechanical parts, may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and are requested to work with cleaning chemicals which can be toxic and/or caustic. Managers may be exposed to temperatures between 0 ° F and 100 ° F. As a manager, you must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job for up to a 12-hour shift.
