MRI Technologist - Paterson, New Jersey

Perform advanced MRI imaging in a dynamic healthcare environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Key Responsibilities: Position patients accurately on the examining table and place the appropriate coil (e.g., head or knee coil) following radiologist protocols. Utilize communication systems including microphones to maintain patient-technologist interaction during exams. Accurately input patient data, scan area details, orientations, and entry positions into MRI computer systems. Operate MRI equipment by entering scan sequences and adjusting transmitter/receiver settings via key commands. Monitor patients continuously through control room windows and closed-circuit TV to ensure safety and comfort. Review images on display screens for quality assurance, capturing images accurately via keyboard input. Ensure safety protocols are followed by alerting staff about metal hazards in the magnet room. Perform additional duties as assigned to support imaging workflow. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Proven proficiency in MRI imaging techniques and equipment operation. Strong understanding of patient positioning and safety standards. Excellent communication skills to guide patients effectively during scans. Ability to multitask and manage detailed data entry accurately. Prior experience working within hospital or clinical imaging departments preferred.
