We are looking for a Security Professional to be a vital component in providing safety and security to our guests and team members, fostering a secure and inviting environment throughout our hotel. The Waldorf Astoria New York boasts 375 rooms, 375 Private Residences, and over 40,000 square feet of event space, complemented by a holistic spa and wellness programming. As a Security Professional, your attention to detail and proactive mindset will support our mission to achieve Forbes 5-Star status by ensuring guests feel comfortable and cared for in a secure atmosphere. What Will You Be Doing? Conduct routine patrols of the hotel property, both inside and outside, identifying potential safety risks and maintaining high security standards. Respond to emergencies swiftly and effectively, including medical incidents, safety hazards, and security threats, always remaining calm under pressure. Promote safe work practices for guests and team members, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Initiate thorough preliminary investigations into incidents, collecting and documenting all necessary details accurately. Provide timely and courteous responses to guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring their comfort and safety are prioritized. Anticipate guest security needs proactively, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. The pay rate for this position ranges from $30.30 to $40.40 per hour, depending on applicable experience. What Are We Looking For? We seek a dedicated individual who embodies the highest standards of safety and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A valid FLSD - COF - T89 License. Preferred certifications including OSHA General Industry Authorized Trainer, Certified Loss Prevention Specialist (CLSD), and Certified Protection Professional (CPP). A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to quickly identify potential safety hazards. A proactive, vigilant approach to maintaining security while providing friendly guest interactions. The ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure, ensuring a safe outcome. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members. A refined demeanor, engaging guests with genuine interest and professionalism. A commitment to confidentiality and high ethical standards. The capability to work independently and take initiative with security tasks and incidents. Flexibility to work varied shifts as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
