HIL Engineer

Role name: HIL Engineer Location: Dearborn, MI Type: Contract Competencies: EIS : Embedded Digital Hardware Design and Development Experience (Years): 4-6 Years Role Description: Understand requirements of vehicle systems, platforms, and features Discuss with Customer teams and get the clarification on requirements if needed Develop Design Verification Methods against requirements Develop test scripts against DVMs in Python or CAPL etc. Analysing the Failed Test cases and identify where the problems are? in test case, software, calibration etc. Take complete ownership of the work assigned in terms of quality and timeliness Ensure correct version control mechanisms used Timely escalation of issues and risks Essential Skills: Knowledge of automotive sub-systems (at least one of Powertrain, Climate, ADAS Body etc.) Experience in HIL validation developing tests from requirements, and executing test cases on the HIL rigs Knowledge of dSpace Control Desk, Automation Desk Familiarity with calibration Tools like ATI Vision Working knowledge of Matlab Simulink for understanding and updating plant models as needed Basic understanding of wiring schematics Working knowledge of Python scripting
