Position Title: Leadership Development Manager (AMA Certification Preferred) Location: Hopkinsville, KY Classification: Full-Time, Exempt Work Schedules: Standard Business Hours (Monday - Friday), with flexibility required for cross-shift training. Summary Our client, a dynamic and established organization within the manufacturing and industrial sector, is seeking a strategic Leadership Development Manager to join their Human Resources team. This pivotal role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining programs that strengthen leadership capabilities across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between executive strategy and frontline execution, ensuring that leadership behaviors align with the company's culture and long-term business goals. This is an exciting opportunity to drive talent development, succession planning, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment that blends office and plant operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategy & Program Design: Develop and maintain a comprehensive leadership competency framework aligned with organizational values. Design development pathways for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders, partnering with executives to ensure initiatives meet evolving business needs. Training & Facilitation: Design and deliver engaging leadership training using in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and development cohorts tailored specifically for plant leadership, functional heads, and executive teams. Talent Management & Succession: Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to drive succession planning and high-potential development. Lead talent review discussions, identify skill gaps, and recommend targeted actions to ensure leadership readiness. Coaching & Advisory: Provide individual and group coaching to leaders navigating role transitions or performance challenges. Act as a trusted advisor to reinforce the practical application of leadership concepts in a production environment. Culture & Alignment: Promote behaviors that reinforce company culture, serving as a connector between executive intent and operational execution. Support cross-functional and cross-cultural alignment initiatives. Measurement & Analytics: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of development programs through feedback, assessments, and outcomes. Utilize data to refine programs and ensure they deliver measurable business impact. Qualifications Strategic Thinking: Ability to align development initiatives with broader business goals. Facilitation Skills: Expert-level ability in adult learning principles and group facilitation. Operational Insight: Capacity to influence without authority and work effectively within industrial/manufacturing settings. Physical Capabilities: Ability to navigate a manufacturing plant environment, which may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, and varying temperatures. Must be able to stand, walk, and communicate effectively in these settings. Required Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in leadership development, training, or organizational development. Demonstrated experience working with leaders at multiple organizational levels, from the shop floor to the C-suite. Strong proficiency in facilitation, coaching, and communication. Preferred American Management Association (AMA) Certification is highly preferred. Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field. Additional professional certifications (e.g., ICF Coaching Certification, CPTD). Prior experience working within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments. Experience managing external training vendors and overseeing complex leadership programs.
