Cath Lab Registered Nurse | Louisville, Kentucky

This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Cath Lab procedures, working in a busy 7-bed cardiac catheterization unit in Louisville, KY. This contract role offers a challenging and engaging environment, perfect for nurses with strong cardiac care skills and a minimum of two years' Cath Lab experience. Candidates with ICU or Cardiac Stepdown experience are highly valued, providing flexibility in background while maintaining high standards of patient care. Key Qualifications: At least 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience required Preferably more than 1 year ICU experience or 2-3 years Cardiac Stepdown experience Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS mandatory; RCIS or CI preferred but not required Skilled in patient monitoring and sedation techniques Must be comfortable working with adult patients primarily, with occasional cases under 18 Schedule and Responsibilities: 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week Weekend and night call duties: 1-2 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend calls every 6 weeks, with a 30-minute response time Participate in weekend rotation for scheduled and emergency cases alongside a dedicated team Floating opportunities available to University Hospital or EP Lab units Comprehensive orientation includes 4-5 days of department-specific training and NEO Support and Technology: Collaborative environment with Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Hospitalists, Intensivists, NPs, Fellows, and Cardiologists Advanced technology: Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensers, McKesson hemodynamic systems, GE and Siemens C-arms Location Highlights: Louisville, KY is a vibrant city known for its rich cultural heritage, historic neighborhoods, and thriving healthcare industry.
