You will oversee shift routines, direct nursing personnel, and uphold the standards set by the Nurse Practice Act. You may also assume Building Charge responsibilities directed by the Director of Nursing or a designee. Qualifications: Current Colorado RN licensure Current CPR certification Maintenance of required CEUs Experience in long-term care preferred Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make independent judgments Demonstrated leadership ability Effective communicator with staff, residents, and families Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively Clinical competence for assessing resident needs Proficient with computers and electronic documentation Team player Knowledge of Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Control guidelines Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Direction: Model effective communication skills with the healthcare team and residents Conduct resident rounds to assess their status Assign staff to meet resident needs effectively Attend team meetings and report performance issues Resident Care: Ensure competent care within your area Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies Communicate promptly with physicians regarding resident conditions Documentation and Assessment: Contribute to resident care plans and perform assessments Document incidents as per protocols Provide thorough and descriptive charting Personnel Responsibilities: Participate in staff performance evaluations Promote a clean and efficient work environment Committee Participation: Engage in committees and meetings to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration Valley Manor Care Center is located in Montrose, CO, and is committed to providing individualized care while respecting residents' privacy and independence.
