Job Summary This critical role involves overseeing structural weld fabrication and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a challenging offshore environment. The ideal candidate will bring proven inspection expertise, offshore experience, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of structural welds on offshore fabrication projects. Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to approved procedures and quality standards. Supervise welders and provide guidance to maintain compliance with safety and procedural requirements. Track and document structural weld fabrication progress accurately. Ensure all inspection activities meet project specifications and industry regulations. Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently. Maintain safety protocols and participate in safety meetings to promote a safe working environment. Requirements Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is mandatory. Proven offshore experience in structural welding inspection. Valid BOISET Rigging certification (API-RP-2D standard). Current USCG Physical & Drug Screen, or willingness to complete upon validation. Valid TWIC card and SafeGulf certification. Ability to work a 14/14 rotation schedule, 12-hour shifts. Strong understanding of welding procedures, structural fabrication, and inspection techniques. Excellent communication and supervisory skills. Additional beneficial skills include experience with NDT (not required), and familiarity with offshore safety standards.
