Job Details Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient Rehab (Travel) Location: Waurika, OK 73573 (Jefferson County, southern Oklahoma) Assignment Type: Travel assignment, on-site outpatient clinic Start Date: April 9, 2026 End Date: July 9, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour days) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,310 - $1,410 Patient Ratio: 1:1 patient-to-therapist Weekend Requirement: None On-Call: No Float: May float between Jefferson County Hospital and DRH Health as needed Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA in outpatient physical therapy (2 years preferred) Experience treating orthopedic populations, post-operative patients, young athletes, balance/vestibular issues, falls, and general debility Experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; outpatient orthopedic and cardiorespiratory rehab experience a plus Active PTA license required (pending license accepted) BLS certification preferred Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered) First-time travel therapists and local candidates welcome Include any requested time off (RTO) with your application Primary Responsibilities Deliver outpatient rehabilitation services under indirect supervision, following established plans of care Provide individualized 1:1 treatment sessions for orthopedic, post-surgical, balance/coordination, neurological, and debility diagnoses Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely in the EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, respiratory, radiology, social services, and pharmacy Support swing bed operations and float to affiliated locations as needed Treat diagnoses including CVA, Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, gait disturbances, cardiac conditions (COPD, CHF), and general med/surg needs Why Waurika, OK Enjoy the charm of Waurika - a close-knit community with access to outdoor recreation, local parks, fishing, and scenic southern Oklahoma landscapes.
