The Growth team plays a crucial role in making this mission come to life, ensuring millions of users not only discover Coinbase but also fully experience the value of crypto from day one. We are searching for a seasoned product leader to oversee Acquisition, Activation, and New Product Growth. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with Growth Marketing and other teams within Growth, as well as various departments across Coinbase. You will shape the strategy and achieve results across all acquisition channels, including SEO and growth marketing, while implementing innovative tactics to scale new products within Coinbase for both new and existing users. As the head of our Acquisition, Activation, and New Product Growth teams, you will craft a seamless onboarding experience for millions of users stepping into the realm of crypto, ensuring this initial interaction fosters lasting engagement. By guiding a team of exceptional product managers and influencing company-wide growth strategies, you will set a global standard for acquisition and activation. What you'll be doing Build, manage, and mentor a team of top-tier Growth Product Managers; establishing a high-performing team with clear standards and operational rhythms. Develop a clear strategy for Acquisition, Activation, and New Product Growth teams, consistently delivering substantial impacts on company-wide goals. Oversee product outcomes in areas such as acquisition (referrals, growth marketing surfaces, SEO landing experiences) and early lifecycle metrics (activation, first-time use, week-one retention). Foster a strong experiment and measurement culture through thorough analysis (e.g., funnel analytics, A/B testing, LTV/CAC, activation and retention cohorts) to guide prioritization and resource allocation. Collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, Data, Design, Engineering, and Finance, aligning roadmaps, maximizing channel efficiency, and compounding successes. Influence the company's overall strategy by voicing new customer perspectives and championing growth system integrity, ensuring scalable foundations and long-term advantages. What we look for in you A proven record of building and leading growth teams that drive meaningful, repeatable business outcomes. Experience tackling large-scale growth challenges, ideally with consumer or prosumer products, and the capability to translate insights into product and channel strategies. Strong analytical skills complemented by exceptional product intuition; capable of shifting from strategic planning to experimental design and user experience details seamlessly. A clear vision and demonstrated expertise in addressing large-scale growth challenges effectively. 10+ years of progressive product management experience. Nice to haves Specialized focus in acquisition, activation, or related growth functions. Enthusiasm for leading initiatives in a mission-oriented crypto organization. A genuine passion for crypto, decentralized finance (DeFi), and web3 technologies. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits (such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans).
