KPMG is seeking an Associate Director of Contract Negotiation and Vendor Management to join our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team. This role is pivotal in shaping our partnership strategies and enhancing vendor collaboration. Develop and implement effective category management strategies together with category leads and key stakeholders, focusing on needs analysis, sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and vendor management for third-party content products and services. Partner with stakeholders to create innovative commercial models that extend beyond traditional data licensing, enhancing KPMG's GenAI-driven go-to-market and service delivery approaches. Support the development of both short-term and long-term sourcing plans and vendor strategies while working closely with category leads and key stakeholders, including major data funders and leaders from our data & analytics practice. Manage and assist cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and vendor management processes to ensure seamless collaboration. Collaborate with various legal, compliance, and risk mitigation departments to ensure all activities align with company policies and contractual obligations. Work with category leads to identify opportunities for process re-engineering and continuous improvement, while monitoring and refining third-party spending, negotiated savings, contracting cycle times, and operational KPIs. Qualifications: A minimum of seven years in strategic sourcing and contracting, particularly in third-party content, coupled with experience managing business research operations, demonstrating a proven track record of success in increasingly complex roles. A Master's degree from an accredited institution is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Extensive knowledge of standard third-party content providers and their products, including Bloomberg, Factset, Gartner, Lexis/Nexis, Moodys, and S&P; advanced technology skills with MS Office, BI Analytics, and workflow software like Ariba or Coupa are essential. Demonstrated success in negotiating large and complex data licenses, achieving advantageous pricing, terms, and conditions. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to effectively navigate complex organizational structures and adapt to ambiguity. Excellent analytical, financial, problem-solving, organizational, and project management abilities, including facilitation skills for stakeholder meetings.
