Job Relationships Department: Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor: Radiology Supervisor Supervises: n/a Job Summary The MRI Technologist successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing diagnostic MRI imaging of designated anatomical areas in a compassionate and safe manner and in accordance with established practices and procedures. Performs basic and advanced protocols and uses/manipulates hardware and technical parameters to maximize Magnetic Resonance image quality and acquire images. Compensation We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is $39.09-$55.18. This range reflects the base salary for this position. Key Accountabilities Deliver excellent patient care by demonstrating compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient questions and completing exams in a timely manner Prepare patient for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct exam to be performed, accurately assessing patient's needs, positioning patient appropriately for exam and providing patient education Perform quality exams by operating applicable Imaging equipment competently, including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure optimal quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam Maintain accurate patient records by completing correct and timely entries in all electronic health systems (i.e. HIS/RIS, PHA, PACS) and department specific programs Qualifications ARRT (R) - ARRT registration in Radiology ARRT (MR) - ARRT registration in MRI Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification for Health Care Providers (if not current, will need to be obtained in the first 6 months of employment, company paid) Siemens MRI experience, preferred Schedule 40 hours per two-week pay period Shift: 1:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.; days negotiable and coordinated with the department upon hire Benefits Eligible for Shift Differential Pay in addition to base wage Paid Time Off accrued starting on first paycheck Medical, Dental, and Vision (discount plan) coverage Flexible Spending Accounts Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance Pension Plan (PERA) with 7.5% employer match Optional 457(b) Retirement Plans Tuition Reimbursement Loan Forgiveness Eligibility - PSLF + MN state programs for qualifying roles Employer-Provided Certifications + Continuing Education Additional perks: Free On-Site Parking, Qualified Bilingual Staff Program, Employee Assistance Program, and discounts on cafeteria, scrubs, and OTC pharmacy items About Us Northfield Hospital + Clinics is a trusted, independent healthcare system with more than 800 employees.
