Join our innovative team as a Senior Software Development Manager, where you'll blend hands-on technical expertise with dynamic leadership. In this position, you'll guide your team to create cutting-edge physical AI solutions that thrive in real-world environments. Utilize Amazon's expansive computational resources to tackle ambitious challenges, including the development of large-scale multi-modal robotic foundation models and efficient, scalable model architectures for diverse robotic applications. Key Responsibilities: Lead the ML infrastructure team to design and develop model training and simulation environments for creating substantial robotics foundational models focusing on reasoning, perception, locomotion, and manipulation. Collaborate closely with AI researchers to implement and optimize large-scale training of new model architectures. Define a clear roadmap and build a physics-realistic simulation environment for reinforcement learning, closed-loop simulations, and synthetic data generation. Develop and implement tools for efficient data creation, model experimentation, and continuous integration. About Our Team: At Frontier AI & Robotics, we are reimagining the future of robotics. Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of engineering experience. 5+ years of experience in engineering team management. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment. Proficiency in Python and C++, with experience in building large-scale training infrastructure using PyTorch. Experience with Isaac Sim, Unity, Unreal, or industry-equivalent 3D game engine technologies. 10+ years of experience in planning, designing, developing, and delivering infrastructure software. Experience collaborating with product or program management science teams in research-driven environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic applications. Experience with physical robots, reinforcement learning, and synthetic data generation; familiarity with optimizing physics simulations for articulated robots and rigid body interactions. Deep understanding of varied model architectures such as VLM, Imitation Learning, VLA. Experience implementing techniques from research papers. We’re an equal opportunity employer.
