Facility Maintenance Engineer

Job Description Job Title: Building Maintenance Engineer / O₂ Cooler Maintenance Technician Location: Southern New Jersey Salary: $85,000 - $145,000 (DOE) Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Building Maintenance Engineer with direct O₂ cooler and industrial refrigeration experience to oversee facility systems at a manufacturing operation Southern NJ. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability, independent work ethic, and a preventative maintenance mindset. The ideal candidate takes ownership of systems and prioritizes uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and repair O₂ cooler systems • Oversee industrial refrigeration systems • Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting (3-phase power, motors, controls) • Manage total facility maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems) • Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs • Respond to emergency repairs and minimize downtime • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints • Coordinate vendors and contractors • Ensure OSHA and EPA compliance • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation Qualifications Required: • 7+ years industrial or commercial maintenance experience • Direct O₂ cooler and refrigeration system experience • Strong 3-phase electrical troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight • Experience reading schematics and blueprints Preferred: • EPA Certification • HVAC Certification • Cold storage facility experience Compensation & Benefits • $85,000 - $145,000 based on experience • Stable, long-term opportunity • Growth potential • High operational visibility • Full benefits package Serious, experienced professionals only.
