Senior IT Asset Manager

About the role Seeking a Senior IT Asset Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with a strong background in managing IT hardware and virtual assets, configuration management, and compliance in enterprise environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining asset baselines, coordinating audits, and ensuring accurate asset tracking in a dynamic and mission-critical setting. Job Responsibilities Maintain IT hardware and virtual asset baselines to ensure accuracy and accountability. Manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for IT hardware in collaboration with Property, Purchasing, Asset Management, and Digital Receiving teams. Develop and maintain IT asset management processes and documentation. Conduct comprehensive audits of IT asset inventories and related artifacts. Coordinate renewal of IT Support Agreements to maintain service continuity. Facilitate proper excessing of hardware assets in coordination with the enterprise and Property teams. Promote and participate in Configuration Management integration across multiple groups. Support compliance with security and operational standards in a government contracting environment. At least 6 years of general IT experience with technical knowledge of enterprise environments. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to conduct comprehensive audits and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and accountability. Preferred: Current DoD 8570-approved IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or ITIL. Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Visio. Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
