Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Varied shifts are available. Job Description The Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech is an essential member of the patient care team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the CNA/MT is responsible for the direct and indirect patient care of residents, creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include administering medications and assisting with the activities of daily living. ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications via oral, topical, vaginal, rectal routes, and by inhalation. Chart all medications given, omitted, or refused. Assist residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and mealtimes. Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureGraduate of a Maine State Board-approved CNA course. Active on the Maine CNA registry. Graduate of a Maine State-approved Certified Medication Administration program. At least 1 year of previous CNA experience is required. Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
