Facilities Technician

DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable, skilled Facilities Technician to help maintain our industrial buildings, infrastructure, and surrounding grounds. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and maintaining a safe, functional environment across a large industrial property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on building systems and infrastructure. • Assist with upkeep of the facility's interior and exterior, including grounds, common areas, and operational spaces. • Troubleshoot and repair issues involving mechanical, structural, or general facility components. • Support preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, HVAC units, and building systems. • Assist with minor construction, remodeling, or improvement projects. • Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized work is required. • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily. • Commercial roofing • Concrete work • Heating and HVAC systems • General construction • Drywall installation and repair • Garage door installation/repair (industrial bay doors ideal) • General handyman or maintenance experience • Prior facilities maintenance experience preferred (industrial environment a plus). • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed. • Willingness to work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions. • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. • Must be authorized to work in the United States PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods. Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Industrial manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, forklifts and overhead cranes. • Use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is required. • Interaction with team members, leads, and supervisors is frequent and necessary.
