A Registered Nurse with experience in Telemetry is needed for a night shift role in Tyler, TX. This position involves providing specialized cardiac care to patients ranging from young adults to geriatric individuals. Candidates will work on a medical-surgical cardiac unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1, supporting those recovering from cardiac interventions such as surgery, stent placement, and pacemaker implantation. Location: Tyler, Texas, is known for its vibrant community, southern charm, and beautiful rose gardens. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients Monitor and assess cardiac patient conditions meticulously Administer treatments and medications as prescribed Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as necessary Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and communication Qualifications & Experience: Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years nursing experience Proven Telemetry nursing skills required BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred Previous travel experience in nursing is required Ability to work every other weekend Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory Comfortable working night shifts 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Additional Details: Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 36-bed unit with private rooms Focus on cardiac care patients, including post-operative and non-procedural cases Contract position with a focus on night hours Floating required for units of equal or lesser acuity Candidates residing in specified nearby counties are not eligible This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs ready to contribute to cardiac patient care in a focused hospital setting.
