Job Description Summary: Ref #: DP-CMA-NC-Stat Profession: Certified Medication Aide Specialty: Long-Term Care / Behavioral Health Job Type: Contract/Per Diem Location: CMA, Statesville Start Date: ASAP Facility Type: Behavioral Health - Residential Treatment Shift Type: Days, Evenings, Nights Rate: $25.90/hour Requirements: Must have a valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in NC Previous experience in behavioral health or long-term care preferred Current BLS certification Strong observational, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic care setting Responsibilities: Assist with admissions, medication administration, and pharmacy stock monitoring under nurse supervision Perform UDS, COVID, and pregnancy testing; sanitize equipment and dispose of medical waste Interview patients, take vital signs, and complete health screenings and referral forms Document patient observations, vitals, treatments, and test results in the EHR Maintain a safe, secure, and confidential care environment Prepare patients for in-person or telemed appointments with medical prescribers Provide medication and home care education; answer patient questions Perform other duties as assigned by the center director or senior management
