Thisposition is accountable for designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that power our advertising technology stack thatsupport thousands of users and billions of ad impressions monthly aswell as works on the transformation of legacy broadcast and schedulingworkflows into scalable, cloud-native systems that enable automation,efficiency, and interoperability across sales, operations, anddistribution. This role defines engineering best practices, mentors peers,and ensures mission-critical platforms are reliable, performant, andcloud-optimized for scale.Your Role Accountabilities:Scalable APIs & ServicesDesign and deliver API-first, cloud-native services that enable real-timeinteroperability across WBD’s advertising stack, handling billions of impressionsannually.Platform ModernizationModernize legacy advertising tools into modular, cloud-native applications with99.99% reliability, optimized costs, and seamless integration with convergedplatformsSoftware Development & IntegrationBuild and maintain services for ad-serving, campaign management, and identitysystems.Develop APIs and integrations with third-party AdTech partners and dataproviders.Collaboration & Technical GuidancePartner with product and operations teams to align technical solutions withbusiness goals.Share best practices and mentor junior engineers when needed.Data EngineeringDesign and implement ETL pipelines and real-time data processing for adperformance, forecasting, and yield optimization.Work with big data frameworks (Spark, Kafka) to handle large-scale datasetsQualifications & Experience• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,or related field.• Engineering Expertise: 8+ years in software engineering, with exposure toAdTech or large-scale distributed systems.• Hands-On technical experience: Hands-on expertise with Java, Scala, orPython. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Strong knowledgeof SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Kafka) andstreaming architectures.• Cloud & APIs: Strong knowledge of cloud-native development (AWS, GCP,Azure), microservices, and API-first design.• AdTech Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with advertising workflowsincluding forecasting, yield optimization, identity, and campaign execution.• Linear Systems Domain Knowledge: Experience with linear advertising,scheduling, trafficking, and broadcast operations platforms, includingmodernization into API-driven, cloud-native solutions.• AI & Automation Systems Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing,building, and operating AI‑driven automation and agent‑based systems thatintegrate with large‑scale distributed platforms, enabling reliable tool execution,workflow orchestration, observability, governance, and measurable improvementsin engineering and operational efficiency at scale.• Collaboration & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to partner with datascientists, product, and platform engineering, while mentoring junior engineers.How We Get Things Done…This last bit is probably the most important! Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $146,440.00 - $271,960.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
