Position Summary: Albright College is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized student worker to support the planning and implementation of campus events. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Events, the Events Assistant helps with the setup, coordination, and smooth operation of campus events, as well as assists in preparing spaces for external rentals, camps, and conferences. This position works a flexible schedule based on the operational needs of the College and the class schedule of the student worker. Essential Job Functions: Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, podiums, stages, easels, pipe-and-drape, microphones, projectors, and other event equipment. Support the Director of Institutional Events in coordinating event logistics and confirming event setup details with internal campus partners. Check common areas and classrooms to ensure furnishings are in place and in working order, reporting any issues to the Director of Institutional Events. Assist in preparing facilities for summer camps, conferences, and external rentals, collaborating with the appropriate campus offices as directed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Events. Qualifications: Required Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under deadlines Ability to work effectively with others and follow directions Ability to safely lift 50lbson a regular basis Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed Preferred: Basic knowledge of event production, catering, or A/V setup
