Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on school-based services is needed for a contract position in Elk Grove, CA. This role involves working within a school setting to assess and treat speech and language disorders in children and adolescents, providing targeted therapy to support their communication development. Responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students with speech and language challenges Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at achieving defined speech and language goals Monitor, document, and report on student progress consistently Collaborate effectively with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure cohesive support Engage and educate families in strategies to aid their child's communication skills Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Active approval from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in California This contract opportunity offers a supportive environment with access to a local advisory team of experienced SLPs to help guide your clinical practice and professional development.
