Per Diem Pharmacy Tech | Columbus, Indiana

Position Overview: A retail/outpatient hospital pharmacy in Greensburg, IN (southeast of Indianapolis) is seeking a reliable Pharmacy Technician for a Per Diem role. This role is ideal for candidates who prefer part-time/PRN hours and want a flexible schedule with consistent shifts every two weeks. The manager values finding a tech who does not require full-time hours but can reliably support the team on 1st shift, typically Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision, including measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording dosages Type, adjudicate, and file new and refill prescriptions, with thorough knowledge of insurance claims and rejections Manage inventory by pulling expired medications and handling returns of uncollected prescriptions Perform cashiering and customer service duties, such as running and balancing the cash register, answering phones, assisting customers with over-the-counter purchases, and filing prescriptions Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Indiana PTCB certification preferred Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or outpatient setting Proficiency or willingness to learn PioneerRX pharmacy system Strong customer service skills and a team player mentality Schedule and Location: Per Diem position with shifts scheduled approximately 2-3 times every two weeks Flexible scheduling accommodations available Typical hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM, or 11 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday Position based in Greensburg, IN This opportunity offers a consistent part-time schedule with the flexibility many seek.
