Job Title: Power BI & Microsoft Fabric AdministratorLocation: Buffalo, NY (Onsite )FulltimeJob Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our enterprise analytics platform. This role will be responsible for Power BI service administration, Microsoft Fabric workloads, data governance, and platform performance, while working closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant BI solutions. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage Power BI Service including workspaces, datasets, reports, dashboards, and user access. Oversee Microsoft Fabric workloads, capacities, and performance optimization. Configure and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways for secure and reliable data refresh. Manage Power BI Premium capacities, monitoring usage, performance, and cost optimization. Implement Azure Active Directory (AAD) security, including role-based access control (RBAC), authentication, and authorization. Enforce data governance, compliance, and security standards across BI and analytics platforms. Support and troubleshoot issues related to Power BI, Fabric, data refresh failures, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable and scalable BI solutions. Develop and maintain data models, leveraging strong expertise in DAX, SQL, and dimensional modeling. Monitor platform health and usage metrics, providing recommendations for optimization and scalability. Document platform architecture, administration procedures, and governance guidelines. Provide guidance and best practices to Power BI developers and business users. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience in Power BI Administration and Microsoft Fabric. Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modeling (star schema, fact/dimension tables). Experience with Power BI Service, On-Premises Data Gateways, and Premium capacities. Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory and enterprise security configurations. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, compliance standards, and data security best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex BI platform issues. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or other Azure analytics services. Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI and deployment pipelines. Power BI or Microsoft Fabric certifications are a plus.
