OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the Transportation Assistant Manager will support and provide leadership that motivates your team to deliver results by providing inbound and outbound analysis, communicating company goals, engaging and developing teammates and striving to continually improve our processes. Responsibilities Provide necessary leadership and set expectations for the Inbound and Outbound Logistics team Provide feedback on team member performance and provide coaching when needed Monitor and manage employee time, attendance and payroll Oversee financial and operational reporting metrics to identify key trends and provide insightful analysis to key stakeholders Analyze both service and freight spend to identify areas of opportunity Analyze the impacts and benefits of supply change investments and/or changes Work closely with manager/director on QBR's Work closely with manager on Yearly freight bids Report on current and future state scenarios and cost/service implications.
