About the Opportunity We're hiring Machine Maintenance Technicians with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, structural, and preventative maintenance experience for a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity in St. Louis City. You'll support equipment uptime, complete repairs, execute PM schedules, and ensure a safe, operational facility environment. These positions offer clean shops, steady workflow, and strong internal growth potential. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural building systems Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and support machinery Diagnose electrical issues, replace components, and follow LOTO procedures Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical assemblies Perform basic fabrication, welding, or structural repairs as needed Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and rebuilds Document all work performed and support ongoing maintenance programs Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean working environment What You Bring Experience in industrial or facility maintenance in a manufacturing or production environment Strong mechanical, electrical, or HVAC troubleshooting skills Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings Knowledge of LOTO, preventative maintenance practices, and safety procedures Reliability, communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Nice-to-Haves HVAC certification or EPA 608 PLC familiarity (troubleshooting or basic logic understanding) Welding or fabrication experience Knowledge of CMMS or digital maintenance tracking systems Tools & Technologies Used Multimeters, electrical diagnostic tools, hand/power tools HVAC systems, motors, pumps, conveyor systems Hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC-driven equipment Welding and fabrication tools (depending on assignment) Schedule, Pay & Location Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire through Express Employment Professionals Location: St. Louis City Pay: Entry Level: Earn up to $22-$28/hr Advanced Level: Earn up to $30-$40/hr Why Work with Express Employment Professionals We partner with 250+ local companies across St. Louis and St. Charles County We often know about skilled trades openings before they're publicly posted We have direct access to hiring managers and decision-makers Your application is reviewed by real recruiters, not automated screeners We actively advocate for your pay, placement, and career growth One application with Express connects you to multiple local maintenance opportunities This opportunity is offered through Express Employment Professionals in the St. Louis / St. Charles County area.
