The Role: As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will research, design, build, and test mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines. You will also provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to large systems and machinery. Flexible Scheduling: A 4/10 schedule option (four 10-hour days) is available. For team coverage consistency, Fridays off are preferred. What you'll do: Define project scope and requirements prior to project kickoff Perform initial and ongoing design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with requirements Produce clear, thorough documentation that critically analyzes designs and recommends corrective actions Identify process gaps and develop practical solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability Create detailed project drawings and review peer drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards Use Autodesk Inventor to design, evaluate, release, and archive product documentation Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional engineering teams to review system requirements, equipment, and project constraints Select and specify mechanical components and peripherals for new and replacement applications Lead design reviews with the engineering team to resolve questions and concerns prior to system installation Design and execute test procedures for complex systems to verify mechanical, electrical, and control functionality prior to delivery Accurately track and document project hours in accordance with company procedures Maintain safe operations by adhering to all applicable safety procedures and regulations Represent iA with professionalism when interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Who you are: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor or similar) Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present technical information Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. Employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.Compensation: The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00, though a candidate's base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
