Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Description We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property's overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functioning, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities • Responsible for the proper maintenance of all guest and public areas of the hotel in adherence to franchise and corporate standards • Responsible for maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment, and systems • The technician is expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees • This is a hands-on position that requires active, vigorous support • Position is part-time 2nd shift, includes weekends • Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations • Work in collaboration with other technicians who will assist you with a variety of maintenance tasks • React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts • Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines • Operate various tools like wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and other maintenance equipment Qualifications • Two or more years in a related field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must have strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills • Driver's license and clean driving record is mandatory • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required • Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance • Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software
