About the Role Waldom is seeking an organized and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our HR operations and employee experience. This role will assist with recruiting coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR compliance. The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on company policies, benefits, and workplace concerns while supporting the day-to-day activities of the HR department. Essential Job Functions: Employee Onboarding & HR Administration Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and orientation activities. Maintain employee records and ensure information is accurately entered into the HRIS system. Prepare and maintain employee personnel files and related documentation. Verify I-9 documentation and maintain employment eligibility records. Employee Relations Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns. Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures. Conduct initial reviews and investigations into employee issues and document findings. Escalate complex matters to the HR Manager as appropriate. Recruitment Support Assist managers with recruitment activities including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications. Conduct phone screenings and assist with collecting interview feedback when needed. Maintain ATS records. Benefits Administration Respond to employee questions regarding benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO, and leave programs. Assist with benefits enrollment for eligible employees and support the annual open enrollment process. Administer FMLA and other employee leave programs. HR Policies & Compliance Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies, forms, and the Employee Handbook. Ensure HR forms and documentation are current and compliant with company policies and applicable laws. Assist with employment verification requests and regulatory reporting such as EEO-1. Workplace Safety & Workers' Compensation Assist with workers' compensation reporting and documentation. Maintain injury logs and support OSHA reporting requirements. Additional Responsibilities Assist with employee meetings, training sessions, and HR-related events. Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field required. Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience. Knowledge of HR practices including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with HRIS systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift items up to 15 pounds Ability to sit for prolonged periods working on a computer. Working Conditions: Standard office environment with occasional exposure to the warehouse. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
