Job Details Job Title: Travel Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech - CVOR Location: Ann Arbor, MI (Michigan healthcare hub) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 - June 22, 2026) Setting: Hospital - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), adult cardiac/thoracic/vascular cases Employment Type: Travel, On-site (travel surgical tech, travel allied health) Hours: 40 hours per week Shifts: Day/Evening rotating shifts; 4x10-hour shifts per week (06:30-16:30 or 12:30-22:30); shift rotation required Shift Duration: 10 Hour Days Call Requirements: 2-4 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours) Flu Vaccination: Required (no exemptions allowed) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,030 - $2,190 per week Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years recent CVOR / cardiovascular surgical tech experience (Surgical Technologist experience in cardiac surgery) Previous travel assignment experience required (travel surgical tech jobs preferred) Demonstrated experience with cardiac scrubbing and advanced cardiac instrumentation (LVAD/RVAD, ECMO, Impella) Must hold a Michigan Surgical Tech license at time of submission (license in-hand; not compact) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Experience with adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures Trauma Level I or II OR experience preferred Two manager/supervisor references required Flu vaccination required (no exemptions) Key Responsibilities Scrub and assist on a wide range of complex adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, maintaining sterile technique Participate in rotating shifts and assigned call schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours) Ensure proper handling, setup, and tracking of surgical instruments and devices (Censitrac SPD Instrument Tracking experience required) Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, RN circulators, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient care in the CVOR Complete required orientation and onsite training modules; demonstrate proficiency with hospital-specific policies and equipment Maintain flexibility with scheduling and time-off requests to support the CVOR team and patient needs Procedures You Will Support Cardiac: LVAD/RVAD, heart transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, MAZE, aortic balloon / Impella devices Thoracic: Transplant, VATS wedge resection, lobectomy, esophagectomy, bronchoscopy, EGD, mediastinal mass removal, lung transplant, hernia repair Vascular: AAA, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistulas, fem-distal / fem-fem / SMA bypass, vein stripping / ablation Why Join This CVOR Team in Ann Arbor, MI Work with a respected cardiovascular operating room team in a hospital known for high-acuity adult cardiac and vascular cases.
