Job Description This leader will drive all preconstruction efforts-from conceptual estimating through GMP-on signature DC civic and institutional projects. The selected candidate will either step directly into the Director role or move rapidly into it based on experience. Key Responsibilities Lead all preconstruction activities for complex designbuild pursuits Manage estimating, budgeting, cost modeling, and valueengineering strategies Guide design partners through preconstruction milestones, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule Prepare and present GMPs, narratives, and executivelevel updates Supervise and mentor a team including one Preconstruction Executive and two Preconstruction Managers Build strong relationships with DGS, design partners, trade contractors, and internal stakeholders Drive preconstruction best practices, process improvement, and crossdepartment collaboration MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A strategic, detailoriented, and collaborative leader who thrives in an evolving environment and excels in managing designbuild preconstruction for large civic and institutional projects.
