The Payroll Administrator II in support of the company's corporate accounting and payroll team, is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Payroll in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees within our organization. To be successful, the Payroll Administrator must have 5+ of hands-on payroll processing experience with strong knowledge of tax regulations, and the ability to manage end-to-end payroll operations independently. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of accuracy, organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications, and meet essential deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are essential, but not limited to, duties and responsibilities: • End-to-end, in-house payroll processing of biweekly cycles for hourly and salaried employees • Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, promotions, and benefit deductions • Verify accuracy of timesheets, respond to employee inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies with employees or managers • Process manual checks, adjustments, and off-cycle payrolls as needed • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and statutory reporting • Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 and other tax reporting The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Requirements Knowledge, Technical and Soft Skills Required: • Expert knowledge of payroll and time capture systems (e.g. Sage300, ADP, Miter, paycheck, SAP, HH2) • Knowledge of labor and wage and hour laws, taxes, garnishments, and benefit and deductions management • Strong analysis and communication (both written and verbal) skills • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Excel • Collaboration/teamwork Education and Experience: • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience accepted) • Payroll compliance and statutory reporting experience • In-house, full-cycle payroll processing and reconciliation experience handling 100+ employees (not outsourced) • Minimum 5 + years of hands-on, end-to-end payroll experience • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred but not required.
