Platform/Cloud Engineer

Role: Platform/Cloud Engineer Location: Austin TX (100% Onsite) Key Skills - Terraform, Kubernetes, SQL, Python, Software Engg and Platform Admin experience Job Description: Required Qualifications: Overall 10+ yrs experience. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field OR related practical experience 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role (Infrastructure or Application) 2+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure), preferable GCP. 5+ years in a programming language (Python) Experience in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired) Proven ability to design components in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired). Experience in cloud networking and compute (GCE, Firewalls, etc.), and IaC Resources and Modules setup (Terraform) Strong Software Engineering and Design background - Java, Python, Go - with interest in Cloud Platform Engineering. Should have strong Software Engineering concepts and fundamentals. Experience on standing up / engineering Cloud Platform infrastructure from scratch (Greenfield Experience) with best practices implementation. Should have strong Kubernetes engineering experience. Should have strong Terraform code / modules writing experience (from scratch instead of modifying the existing code. Should be able to drive the Cloud Infrastructure setup independently. Should have experience or should be able to provide the automation solution ideas for the Cloud Platform Provisioning. Preferred Qualifications: Experience engineering cloud services to meet security and compliance in a regulated environment Experience in optimizing cloud resources based on cost and service availability Experience in design and support of platform services for large enterprise teams Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions desired) Understanding and execution of SRE principles and practices for delivering platform services at scale
