General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Controller provides assistance in managing the accounting operation, establishing and maintaining accounting principles, and over sight of filings and controls. Essential Duties: Review monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process. Review financial statements and filings. Assist in analysis of the organization's finances and prepares reports to facilitate decision making Works with the Accounting Director to review, evaluate, approve and provide advanced analytical review and analysis of overall accounting functions, including the preparation and review of financial statements, oversight and direction of annual capital and operational budgets, monthly budget to actual results, physician bonus and distributions, annual corporate audits and reviews, development and review of corporate KPI's, establishing, monitoring and reporting on corporate micro-indicators. Directs, monitors and reviews special projects and financial analysis requests, including pro forma statements and financial modeling, including, but not limited to; proposed new business, capital purchases, financing or vendor options, etc. Assist with yearly budgeting Create internal controls and policies, ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with established principles and legal guidelines Analyze discrepancies in financial records and identify solutions Assist with maintaining and overseeing financial accounting and supply chain functions to ensure accurate, timely reporting and recording of hospital and clinic financial activities. Review of Real Estate Financial Statements and reconciliations Assist with modernizing Accounts Payable processes Directs, monitors and provides analytical review of the physician compensation model and quarterly compensation calculations. Preparation of Physician Compensation Plans Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, Master's Degree in Accounting preferred 6-8 years of experience required, 8-10 years of experience preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred OrthoIndy is an Equal Opportunity Employer
