Work Location: This position is RemoteJob Description: We Are Seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, data-driven mobile applications. This role supports the full mobile application lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable Android solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong object-oriented programming skills, experience working with modern mobile architectures, and the ability to enhance and maintain both new and legacy applications while delivering high-quality user-focused products. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, code, test, and maintain Android mobile applications. • Collaborate with technical and analytic teams to translate functional requirements into mobile solutions. • Develop new application features and enhance existing mobile applications. • Modify and optimize applications to improve performance, usability, and efficiency. • Implement application functionality using established programming standards and best practices. • Develop and integrate APIs using RESTful services, GraphQL, and JSON data formats. • Perform unit testing, debugging, and bug fixing to ensure application stability and reliability. • Prepare test data and validate software functionality and accuracy. • Maintain and support legacy codebases while implementing modernization improvements. • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational instructions. • Participate in application deployment and post-release support activities. • Collaborate with team members and assist with task coordination when needed. • Continuously learn and apply emerging mobile technologies and development practices. Required Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying production-grade mobile applications. • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) principles. • Experience working with Android frameworks and mobile application lifecycle management. • Ability to work effectively with existing or legacy application codebases. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality applications.Technical Skills • Android application development using Java and Kotlin • Android SDK and mobile development frameworks • Android Studio development environment • RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON integration • Architecture patterns such as MVC, MVP, or similar • XML-based UI development and Android Views • Unit testing and debugging practices • Testing tools such as Espresso and Postman • Linux and Android operating systems • Software documentation and version maintenancePreferred Skills • Familiarity with iOS development environments • Experience with cross-platform or multi-package managers such as CocoaPods, Carthage, or Swift Package Manager • Experience organizing or coordinating development tasks within a team • Knowledge of modern mobile UI/UX best practices • Willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and emerging technologiesAvailable Benefits: • Medical Benefits (Platinum level plans available) • Work from home / Hybrid / Onsite options • PTO • Holiday Pay • VTO • 401K • Charitable Match • Training reimbursement About KēSTA I.T.:Our name says it all; KēSTA I.T.
