Position Overview The Senior Training Manager (LTC) is a statewide leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing onboarding and training programs for TBS Specialists, Therapists, Team Leads, and regional Training Managers. This role ensures new employees are job-ready, clinically competent, and aligned with VPBS operational and documentation standards. The Senior Training Manager partners closely with Clinical Directors, QA Mental Health Trainers, and regional leadership to promote high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and long-term employee success. This position also provides direct supervision to Training Managers within assigned regions and supports leadership development initiatives across the LTC service line. Key Responsibilities Training & Onboarding Leadership Oversee and standardize new hire onboarding and 30-day training programs across assigned regions. Design and continuously improve comprehensive training plans aligned with clinical and operational expectations. Ensure consistent delivery of training curriculum, documentation standards, and onboarding processes. Provide shadowing and reverse shadowing support when additional coaching is required. Deliver regional and statewide trainings for internal staff and external partners as requested. Supervision & Coaching Directly supervise and develop regional Training Managers. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to promote job readiness and professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations and support leadership development planning. Identify skill gaps and implement ongoing training plans as needed with regional leadership teams Clinical & Operational Oversight Partner with regional leadership to reinforce documentation standards, medical necessity alignment, and level-of-care appropriateness. Monitor training outcomes related to compliance, productivity, and service quality. Ensure orientation documentation and training records are completed and submitted appropriately. Retention & Workforce Development Monitor turnover trends and identify training-related contributors to retention challenges. Strengthen onboarding strategies to improve long-term employee engagement and success. Support leadership in planning for growth and staffing expansion. Financial & Performance Awareness Understand productivity standards and operational needs Support training initiatives that promote efficient, high-quality service delivery. Reinforce fiscally responsible practices within training and supervision structures. Minimum Qualifications Experience providing TBS, PSR, or case management services within behavioral health. Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings strongly preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong training, coaching, facilitation, and mentoring skills. Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities. Ability to respond calmly and confidently in crisis situations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (regional travel required). Ability to manage confidential information appropriately. Preferred Licensure Active Professional certification or licensure strongly preferred Experience with integrated behavioral health (mental health + AOD/SUD) within LTC settings is highly desirable. Schedule Primarily Monday-Friday during business hours. Flexibility required to meet regional and organizational needs.
