Location Sandusky,OH Description Our client, a provider of innovative, sustainable and adaptive digital infrastructure powering complex and demanding cloud and AI workloads in a Data Center environment is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Technician due to business growth in their Data Center practice. This full-time role will work onsite in a 92MW Data Center in Sandusky, OH. The role contains an ample vacation plan - 4 1/2 weeks to start - a strong benefit package, pays $35-$45hr based on experience and seeks candidates to work a non-traditional schedule of 12 hour rotating days 6am-6pm AND 6pm-6am. Schedule = Start on a Monday DAY-6am-6pm- 2 days ON-M,Tu - 2 days OFF-W,Th - 3 days ON-F,Sa,Su - 2 days OFF M,Tu - 2 Days ON W,Th - 3 Days OFF F,Sa,Su - this allows a 3 day - F, Sa, Su - OFF weekend every other week. After 8 weeks you will continue working the same schedule but will move to NIGHT-6pm-6am - HERE YOU RECEIVE A $5 PER HOUR INCREASE FOR SHIFT PREMIUM - and rotate back and forth - DAY/NIGHT - every 8 weeks. The key to this role is utilization of previous MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. The incumbent will: Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment MECHANICAL- operation and maintenance of multiple components within the HVAC system, plumbing installation/maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV). ELECTRICAL - plan, implement, coordinate and supervision of all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment. Ensure conformance with all Change control development, approvals and execution. Schedule, develop and perform quality assurance for all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, & general maintenance. Perform all work in strict accordance with governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures, and maintenance work instructions. Operate and monitor critical and non-critical system equipment and components. Oversees work efforts of 3rd party contractors for safe and compliant operation, maintenance (corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment. Finalize work orders by completing necessary documentation in the computerized maintenance management system. Monitor building operations and tour properties periodically during scheduled shift. QUALIFICATIONS ELECTRICAL - 2+ years experience functioning as an Electrician, or performing electrical work, troubleshooting, fixing and monitoring electrical/facilities equipment OR MECHANICAL - 2+ years working in a mechanical/HVAC environment troubleshooting, fixing and monitoring mechanical/facilities equipment Experience or familiarity with Data Center equipment (Chiller/GEN/UPS/STS etc.) Experience and understanding of "Central Plant" environments Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools for documentation purposes Able to work 12 hours shifts with rotating DAYS/NIGHTS and every other weekend Preferred but not required 1+ years working in a Critical Facilities Environment (Data Center/Hospital/airport, etc) Master or Journeyman Electrician License CFC Universal license EPA Certification Any Critical Facilities license
