SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. Checks fluid levels in all district vehicles directed by shop manager, adds necessary fluids in a low situation and reports to either shop foreman or manager. Records the amount of fluids added to each vehicle to on a daily check sheet provided by the district. Opens and secures gates of the compound at the start or conclusion of each work day. Required to pump fuel Requires knowledge of GasBoy entry system Entering miles, overriding errors, etc Required to operate bus wash system Knowledge of how to operate bus wash to prevent damage to bus abd bus wash Hand wash and/or power portions of bus which bus wash does not reach Repairs seat upholstery when necessary as directed by manager or foreman Changes oil and filters on all transportation vehicles directed by manager or foreman. Work with mechanics to ensure all buses for current month are inspected Installs license plates and stickers when directed to do so. Keeps shop vehicle in a clean manner after daily use. May operate a school bus on a route only on an emergency basis as needed May be required to transport District vehicles to and from outside repair sites and/or to State inspection test lanes QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required.
