Job Description We have a great client that is looking for a Respiratory Therapist in Detroit, MI This is a 13-week contract opportunity with potential to be extended or converted directly. The pay rate is up to $50.89 per hour. Job SummaryUnder general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. Required 2+ years' experience as a respiratory therapist Associate of Science Degree Current ARRT registration Current RT licensure and BLS certification from AHA. Candidates that have neonatal intensive care experience would be a plus, but it is not required.
