A Brief Overview Hybrid 4 Day/Week On-Site in our Columbus, OH Headquarters The Procurement Manager, Glass leads a team responsible for managing and optimizing strategic supplier relationships with Safelite glass manufacturing partners to ensure consistent supply and best-in-class cost performance. This role drives annual RFP negotiations, oversees sourcing for new vehicle model introductions, proactively assesses global geopolitical impacts, and ensures part availability aligns with production schedules and business objectives. To succeed in this position, the manager must demonstrate data and financial category literacy, applying rigorous analytical review and quantitative insights to inform sourcing decisions, report on category performance, and drive measurable results. By developing procurement strategies rooted in data analysis and fostering innovative supplier partnerships, the manager delivers cost savings, enhances supply chain resilience, and advances Safelite's competitive advantage. The position is accountable for comprehensive financial reporting, category management, and driving strategic decisions that support Safelite's operational continuity and future growth. What you will do The Glass Procurement Manager leads strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationships for vehicle glass, using analytical and financial skills to select suppliers and ensure a consistent, high-value supply for Safelite. Drive category sourcing strategy and comprehensive market analysis using analytical methodologies to assess global glass market trends, supply risks, and pricing dynamics. Integrate financial analysis to forecast market shifts and proactively recommend sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership. Provide transparent leadership and foster the development of a team of buyers to build procurement capabilities, ensuring open communication and clarity. Focus on cultivating talent through honest feedback and accessible growth opportunities, while driving the team to deliver on cost savings and secure reliable supply in alignment with company objectives. Utilize analytical and financial skills to drive data-driven supplier selection, evaluation, and cost-benefit analysis, while coordinating cross-functionally and with suppliers and internal replenishment partners to ensure strategic sourcing and timely availability of vehicle glass for new model launches, supporting life-cycle management and company-wide growth initiatives. Partner with finance, operations, and technical teams to synthesize data into actionable recommendations, while collaborating cross-functionally within the US and with global Belron partners to align category strategies and support enterprise-wide procurement initiatives. Oversee the annual RFP process and supplier contracts, using robust tracking and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvements, achieve cost reductions, and implement corrective actions that align with both short-term savings and long-term strategic objectives.
