Industrial Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Alabaster, AL Status: Full Time, Permanent Responsibilities: Assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance. Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals, including engineering blueprints and schematics. Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed. Operating a variety of hand and power tools. Servicing and maintaining equipment including boilers and steam system, high and low-pressure hydraulic systems, chillers, air compressors, pneumatic systems, compression and injection presses, etc. Communicating with the production team regarding repairs. Preparing and submitting maintenance reports. Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in requesting and maintaining parts for repair, replacement, and inventory. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma/GED Minimum 2 years Industrial Maintenance experience. Requires one Two-year "Long certificate", from an accredited college, with a minimum of 60 Semester Credit Hours, or 90 Quarter Credit Hours, in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Concepts, Analog Controls, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Pneumatics, Industrial Electrical, Industrial Electronics, Hydraulics, Welding and Fabrication, HVAC, PLC, or Plumbing. Good mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills required Good reading, listening, and communication skill Able to maintain a flexible schedule to work odd hours with little to no notice; some weekend work will be required.
