Posting Details Posting Details Posting Number: Stu001751 Posting Type: Student - Open to All Current ONU Students Job Title: Student Employment - Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Position Type: Student Department: Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving Job Summary: The Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving Assistant provides administrative and engagement support to the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. This role helps foster meaningful relationships between the university and its constituents, while also assisting with donor stewardship and fundraising efforts. The position offers hands-on experience in alumni relations, philanthropy, and event coordination. Principal Responsibilities Learning opportunities include: Gain experience in alumni engagement, philanthropy, and fundraising Develop foundational administrative and customer service skills Learn about donor stewardship, identification, solicitation, acknowledgment, and engagement strategies Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to alumni, donors, and campus stakeholders Assist department staff with clerical duties such as filing, copying, answering phones, scheduling, scanning, shredding, placing orders, and maintaining office organization Support donor stewardship efforts through phone calls, emails and mailing Assist with social media content creation, direct mail campaigns, and email/text donor outreach. Perform data entry and maintain donor records Provide administrative support for fundraising and engagement events, including planning, execution, and follow-up Participate in peer-to-peer fundraising efforts and donor appreciation initiatives Assist with the preparation of reports and correspondence Follow department policies and procedures while handling confidential information Work collaboratively with team members to support their roles and work Other duties as assigned Required Skills: Required Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential material. Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Forms. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
