Home Health RN Job Details - Wausau, WI Position: Home Health Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Location: Wausau, WI 54401 (Central Wisconsin healthcare jobs) Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential to extend) Start Date: October 6, 2025 End Date: January 3, 2026 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, flexible) Weekend/Holiday: Every 5th weekend and holiday rotation On-call: None (except for low census situations) Travel Territory: 25-60 miles/day; average 20-25 patients, 4.5 visits/day Nearby Locations: May float to Medford, Antigo, WI Rapids Scrub Colors: Navy blue Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,100-$2,250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred Active Wisconsin or Compact State RN license (Registered Nurse license) Current AHA BLS certification Valid Driver's License (required for home health travel nursing jobs) OASIS certification a plus Minimum 2 years of home health RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required Proficient with OASIS charting; Epic EMR experience preferred Strong time management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills Home Health RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive home health nursing care to diverse patient populations Complete OASIS admissions, episode management, and all required documentation Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members Document care and patient progress in EMR systems promptly Demonstrate clinical skills in wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management Float to nearby locations as needed (Medford, Antigo, WI Rapids) Maintain a positive attitude and provide compassionate, dependable care in all interactions Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Home Health RN in Wausau, Wisconsin!
