We are seeking a strong Senior Software Engineer to support a high-priority Space Data Modernization initiative for the United States Space Force. This program is focused on architecting a next-generation intelligence enterprise, mirroring Silicon Valley processes to rapidly close capability gaps in data integration, automation, and operational visualization. You will work in a modern, agile environment to design and deploy cloud-native solutions that directly empower space operators to make data-driven decisions at mission speed. Why Omni?Environment of Autonomy Innovative Commercial Approach People over process Position Description (what you will do)Mission Application Architect: Lead the design and prototyping of high-priority mission applications, including the Enterprise Mission Report (MISREP) tool and Space Threat Assessment dashboards. Data Foundation Services:Build modular "Data Foundation" microservices responsible for data transformation, tagging, and audit logging to standardize how intelligence data is processed across the enterprise. API Development: Design and implement secure APIs to ensure interoperability with external DoD and IC systems, such as the Unified Data Library (UDL) and Warp Core. System Integration: Solve complex integration challenges by creating software interfaces that fuse multi-source data (MASINT, GEOINT) into a coherent operational picture. Technical Mentorship:Guide a team of developers through Agile sprints, ensuring code quality, modularity, and adherence to open architecture standards. Requirements:7+ years of full-stack software development experience. Expert proficiency in Java, Python, or Go. Strong background in microservices architecture, Kubernetes, docker/containers, RESTful API design, GEOINT data services, AuthN/AuthZ (OIDC/OAuth, SAML, PKI) and cloud-native development. Experience building GEOINT data catalogs and integrating with government data platforms (e.g., UDL, ISSA) or similar large-scale data fabrics is a significant plus.
