Job Title: Data/BA Analyst Job Location: Chicago, IL, USA, 60612 Employment Type: Temporary Estimated Duration (In Weeks): 12 Skills/Attributes: Microsoft Excel, SAP, SQL Number of Positions: 1 Position Description: Objectives of this role • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks • Identify opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets • Evaluate organizational methods, provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization • Evaluate systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data Responsibilities: • Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers • Proactively analyze data to answer questions, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity • Experience with data visualizations - experience distilling complex data into actionable data insights using various data visualization techniques. • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary/secondary sources, build scripts that will make the data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Required skills and qualifications • Experience with data visualizations - distilling complex data into actionable data insights using various data visualization techniques. • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations • Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools, such as using KQL in Azure Log Analytics workbooks. • Comfortable working with log data and familiar with basic network terminology. • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (SAP-Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks) • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc) • Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information- attention to detail and accuracy • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
