Job Summary The Estimating Manager leads the estimating team and oversees all bidding activities to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable project proposals. This role combines team leadership with hands-on estimating oversight to support company growth and ensure consistent, high-quality bid execution. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership • Lead and develop the estimating team, including workload and project assignment. • Maintain alignment and accountability throughout the sales and bidding process. • Conduct regular check-ins to manage progress across multiple pursuits. Estimating & Bid Oversight • Oversee execution of all estimating and bid deliverables. • Review project scope, specifications, RFQs, and proposals prior to submission. • Verify vendor and subcontractor pricing. • Review sales and framing sheets for accuracy and consistency. • Guide coordination with Engineering, Shop, and Field teams. • Provide estimating support as workload or complexity requires. Process & Performance Management • Ensure adherence to estimating and sales SOPs. • Maintain and improve estimating standards and processes. • Collect and use estimating data to improve future bid accuracy and efficiency. • Prioritize workload toward high-value opportunities aligned with company strategy. Financial & Strategic Support • Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities. • Ensure proposals support revenue and profitability goals. • Support pursuit and go/no-go decision processes. Qualifications Proven history of leadership or team management experience. 5-7 years of experience in estimating, engineering, or project management within the glass/glazing or related construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
