Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families. The Midtown Cardiac Neuro unit is a 19-bed unit specializing in the care of the Cardiac, Neuro, and ICU Stepdown patient. It is a blended scope unit with 8 beds designated for stepdown. This unit cares for complex medical surgical patients, cardiac patients, stroke patients, sepsis and other diagnoses including patients requiring close monitoring. Our patient population offers a great variety of learning opportunities related to cardiac rhythms and EKG's, medication drips with titration, bedside cardioversions, and NIH stroke scale. We welcome new and experienced staff and enjoy teaching. We have an organized and structured orientation process with frequent check-ins from our leadership team.
