Construction Manager - Airport/EWR - Newark, NJ Project Management Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? The Construction Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight, coordination, and management of all Construction Work throughout the duration of the Project (EWR AirTrain - System Technology, Newark Airport). This role ensures that all construction activities comply with the Released for Construction (RFC) Documents, as well as any approved design changes per the requirements of the Agreement. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following: -Direct and manage daily Construction Work at the Project Site. -Ensure all work is performed in accordance with RFC Documents, approved design revisions, and contractual requirements. -Maintain full-time presence at the Project Site from NTP (Construction) through First Passenger Service, (est. Q1 2030). -Coordinate all construction activities that could affect existing AirTrain operations. -Serve as the primary point of contact with the Existing AirTrain Operator to ensure safe and uninterrupted service. Qualifications: -Minimum 15 years of construction experience. -Experience as a project or construction manager on at least one transit, rail, or airport design-build project with a capital construction value of $100 million or more. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. -Professional engineering or architecture license, or a construction-related certification, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have: -Demonstrated experience managing MV/LV electrical construction and installation activities. -Ability to coordinate effectively with electrical contractors and ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. -Extensive hands-on experience working with Public Service Electric & Gas (PSEG). -Proven ability to navigate Port Authority (PA) procedures, including: Utility requirements, permitting processes, site inspections, coordination with authorities and external stakeholders -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and utility partners. -A hands-on leadership style with a strong understanding of MV/LV infrastructure and electrical work within utility-driven or transportation projects. -Ability to manage site activities, budgets, schedules, quality, and safety with a high level of accountability.
