Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position. POSITION OVERVIEW As an Environmental Manager, your roles and responsibilities will include: 1. Environmental Compliance Management: Oversee compliance for air, effluent, solid waste, and hazardous waste systems at the Columbus Mill and Columbus Modified Fiber sites, ensuring timely resolution of potential non-compliance issues. 2. Leadership and Development: Provide leadership to laboratory technicians and engineers through effective performance management and professional development initiatives. 3. Alignment with Strategic Goals: Align environmental strategies with Company, Business, and Mill objectives, including the achievement of Sustainability goals. 4. Regulatory Support and Resource Management: Support the development and implementation of regulatory compliance projects while managing resources, including consultants and salaried staff, to ensure the preparation of accurate compliance reports and permits. 5. Incident Investigation and Lab Management: Investigate the root causes of environmental incidents and near misses, while managing laboratory operations, including quality testing for the pulp dryer. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal Environmental Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following: Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or environmental sciences/management or related degree. Eight plus (8+) years experience in a manufacturing environment and environmental field; forest products industry preferred. Experience with regulatory & electronic reporting systems (e.g., Title V, MACT, DMR) is preferred. Knowledgeable of emerging environmental regulations. Strong working knowledge of air regulations. Understanding of all other Environmental areas: water/waste/chemical, etc. Track record of success in working in a team environment Capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks.
